We are excited to have a selection of tools for fiber artists hand crafted by Ken Ledbetter. Ken is a local craftsman who uses local and exotic woods to make drop spindles, weaving shuttles, felting needles, nostepenes and other highly functional tools for fiber artists.

DROP SPINDLES
Ken produces two kinds of spindles, Beginner spindles that have no inlay work and are made from basic kinds of woods, and his one of a kind Inlay Spindles. The Inlay spindles can have stone, granules or a variety of other materials inlaid, hand polished stone, or a variety of decorative buttons, many of which are vintage or antique. They are all carefully finished and tested for spinability. These are truly one of a kind, and each is signed and numbered by the artist.
The whorls are about three inches in diameter and the shafts about eight inches long. The woods are listed in order of finial, whorl and shaft.

FELTING NEEDLES
Ken makes a variety of hand turned needle felting tools. Handles that hold 4 needles are $22.00, 5 needles are $28.00, 6 inline needle holders are $48.00 and handles that hold 8 needles are $32.00. Each is adorned with an inlayed stone or fancy button and is made of finely hand turned hard wood designed to comfortably fit into your hand as you work. Each handle comes with 4,5,6 or 8 medium felting needles, which are easily replaceable, yet held firmly in place. Ken also turns handsomely finished needle storage boxes that sell for $45.00 each. |

WEAVING SHUTTLES
| Ken makes Boat Shuttles in 4", 6" and 10" lengths that sell for $40.00, $60.00 and $90.00 respectively. Extra bobbiins are available upon request. |  |

NOSTEPENES
Nostepenes are old fashioned tools used to wind yarn into a ball that pulls out from the center. Ken hand turns woods like maple or mequite and inlays a button or polished stone at the top. They sell for $25.00.
